D/DOCK
D/DOCK is an Amsterdam based design studio of interiors and total concepts. The philosophy behind the studio goes beyond physical and aesthetic aspects alone. D/DOCK adopts a working method in which design, project management and consultancy are the ingredients for innovative business cases build around human requirements. The firm’s team draws on an international network of experts, collaborating with respected professionals in the industry who share knowledge and passion for what they do, jointly seek solutions that stimulate ambition and education, and contribute to a sustainable future.

20th Century Fox the Netherlands, one of the six major American film studios, has found its new work environment in Amsterdam South-East. D/DOCK is responsible for the interior design and project management of this turnkey project of 540 square meters. Besides transparency and short communication lines, a common lunch area was on the priority list. The new interior design resulted in an open landscape of work places where all employees are accommodated on the same floor. The new office provides both closed- and open offices, various meeting rooms and open work places, stimulating clear and quick communication between the employees. The lunch area is characterized by the graphics on the walls, derived from films produced by 20th Century Fox. You find yourself in ‘The Life of Pi’, on a sinking Titanic with Jack and Rose, and you’ll get lost in the dark Jungle of Madagascar.
