The worldwide famous pendant lamp PH 5 was designed by Poul Henningsen (PH) for Louis Poulsen. With 2.5kg and 50cm diameter it is indeed more luxuriant and can even enrich a room on its own. Of course, it also does very well in a light composition with neighbours.

The pendant luminaire has a futuristic 50s design and has a pleasant, glare-free light thanks to its three-shade system. The inner cone in red interacts with the blue reflector to provide a warm light. The characteristic design stems from the three-shade system presented by Poul Henningsen at the 1925 World Exhibition in Paris. The luminaire’s curvature with the three shades placed one above the other gradually directs the light away and thus reflects it mutually. The result is a glare-free light. The PH 5 with its futuristic shape and remarkable shadows resembles an art object. The Louis Poulsen PH 5 luminaire made of aluminium is available in various colours.
