Aunt Benny in Berlin
Next to superb coffee, you can enjoy finger licking Montreal style bagels, sandwiches, soups, house-made chutneys and cream cheeses homemade cakes, tasty pies and quiches. The Bircher Muesli, a Swiss fruit and grain overnight oats, is with no doubt the best in town. Most of the dishes are organic, vegan or gluten-free.
Common Place, two interior designers from Toronto and Melbourne, is responsible for the minimalistic Scandinavian design. Lots of natural wood, white tiles, dark-green plants make Aunt Benny a warm and inviting neighbourhood café. Common Place tends to use traditional and natural materials with eclectic twists. The designs are at once industrial, warm and contemporary. They sure did a good job with Aunt Benny.
Delicious brunches are served on the weekends. The Antlered Bunny, a cocktail bar located next door to the café is opened from Thursday till Sunday night. On Sunday also visit the flew markets at Boxhagner Platz and RAW-tempel.
