PP 19 Teddy Bear Chair

Hans J. Wegner originally designed the Teddy Bear Chair in 1950 for Danish company AP Møbler. Since 1953 PP Møbler became a supplier for the beloved armchair. The PP 19 Teddy Bear chair received its name after a critic had referred to its armrests as ‘great bear paws embracing you from behind’. Wegner also drew a matching footrest for he well-known chair, namely PP 120.
