In 1959 Arne Jacobsen Gryden created Pot, a light version of a hugging design lounge chair originally designed for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. The shape corresponds to the original design of 1959 – seat and materials have been improved to meet today’s demands for comfort and durability. The Pot chair is available in an endless variety of fabrics and leathers. It is small but fine, modern and timeless and an original by Arne Jacobsen.
The shell is made of foam on which the selected fabric or leather upholstery is glued. Like the Series 7, the Pot chair is sewn with piping. The pot comes in 3 new Fritz Hansen colours created exclusively by the Fritz Hansen design team: the cheerful pink, the warm and earthy terracotta orange and finally the deep ocean blue. The base for the Pot armchair is made of chromed steel or dark brown powder-coated steel.
