Malcolm McLaren exhibition

Events, Public Spaces

The interactive multimedia exhibition displays the life and times of style-icon Malcolm McLaren within a casino environment. Large-format video installations controlled by customized fruit machines allow the player to access four themes of Malcolm McLaren’s life: his adventures in fashion, the punk rock band Sex Pistols, his own music and his private life. Set into the floor, seven illuminated trenches and corresponding vertical glass fins chronologically display memorabilia from the legendary Kings Road shop and his 12-year partnership with Vivienne Westwood.
