Las Tortugas Villa

Residential

Following on from completing the award-winning main UK residence, our client asked The Design Practice by UBER to turn our interior design attention to their luxury villa, named Las Tortugas in Pollensa, Mallorca. This now completed fabulous new build is currently being utilised as both the families getaway escape holiday home and an in-demand holiday rental for well-appointed families (including a few celebs).

We undertook all the full services of creative spacial planning of the property liaising with the chosen architect for external work. From space planning and project management through interior design to the final touches. The logistics of a build on the rock edge in a warm climate were not without challenges. For example the two majestic solid marble baths each weighing over 1 ton had to be specially lifted into place part way through the build. The striking Bhudda heads punctuate the infinity pool and frame the view of the green golf course below. With a rustic charm using local build materials and styling features like the aged wooden canopy and shutters we created a contrasting theme of modern classic within. Taupes and biege colour schemes with cooling marble floors help to add to the comfortable yet quality feel. Luxurious touches like the steam room, circular kitchen work area and air conditioning help to maintain the rejuvenating atmosphere whilst offering all modern features expected.

The idea was to create a tranquil environment that would work well as a homely space, yet neutral enough to allow a rental market to be fully exploited. Using only the finest quality fixtures fittings and furnishings the Villa with raised views over the infinity pool to the postcard sunsets and stunning backdrop of the home with tranquil relaxation at its heart is set to achieve many a lasting impression.
