Échasse Vase
The Échasse vase designed by Theresa Rand for menu reinterprets the classic elegance of glass vases and bowls. This designer vase brings a minimalist silhouette with a distinctive, playful touch to modern and traditional spaces. Theresa Rand’s playful concept interprets the word “échasse” wonderfully: French for “stilts”. The slender, stilt-like support legs gently hang the glass forms and create a feeling of lightness with simultaneous stability.
The first piece of the now iconic series of this designer vase was inspired by laboratory tubes. The drop-shaped shape is as elegant when holding flowers on a desk, living room floor or bedside table as when it remains unfilled. The smoked glass version with brushed brass feet is available in three sizes. The unique colour gradients of the glass give the design depth and contrast to the clear lines of the legs. The smallest vase is now available with clear glass and burnished brass feet; a classic combination to complement any interior palette, in a size ideal for smaller spaces.
Its ethereal expression, its design elevated in every respect, the Échasse series offers endless possibilities for experimentation, as the origin of the test tubes suggests. Alone or together, filled with favourite flowers, fruits and objects or alone as sculptural focal points, these pieces enliven modern spaces with equal parts of boldness and grace.
