The “artichoke lamp” PH Artichoke was created in 1958 by Poul Henningsen for the Restaurant Langelinie Pavillonen in Copenhagen. This Louis Poulsen lamp still hangs there today. This designer lamp is characterised by its unique shape, which is reminiscent of a sculpture. It has a high degree of international recognition and is regarded as a design icon. The body of the luminaire consists of 72 leaves, resulting in completely glare-free lighting from any viewing angle.
In order to guarantee first-class quality, the lamp is still largely handmade today. And that’s what it looks like:
