The days of boring and static museum design are happily long gone. Zeitgeschichtliches Forum in Leipzig is perhaps one of the best examples of this. Although the history of the DDR might not seem the most exciting topic, design studio COORDINATION has turned this museum into a real voyage of discovery.
One moment you stand next to the Berlin Wall as a visitor, next you walk into a living room from the 1970s where you can, if you want, just sit down on the couch. There is an original cinema where films are shown, a Trabant is parked and history is brought to life using a huge collection of pictures and sound.
