Post Design Gallery in Milan

Even for the most highly respected designers, designing the showroom for the world famous Memphis Post Design gallery would be a challenge. Designer Alberto Biagetti and artist Laura Baldassari of Milanese design studio Atelier Biagetti nevertheless rose to the challenge. They designed the gallery in their own eponymous style, blending traditional culture with contemporary expectations, craftsmanship with experimental techniques, and practicality with aesthetics. The result is the perfect backdrop for the Memphis Post Design Collection.

The Memphis Group is a design collective from the 1980s, known for its innovative work featuring the use of bright colours, kitsch elements and the use of both geometric and asymmetric shapes. The Post Design range includes rugs, furnishings and home accessories – all created in the iconic Memphis style.
