A traveller’s home

Every home should feel like a sanctuary, but it’s important that each space tells a story. With this breathtaking 19th century Berlin apartment, interior designer Annabell Kutucu manages to blend both together seamlessly.

It’s all about the little touches with this truly stunning space. The colour palette is kept light and neutral, with subtle whites and earthy tones throughout. When it comes to the flooring, Kutucu has once again opted for neutral and natural, maintaining hardwood floors with intricate nuances for a consistent vibe that’s not without contrast.

But it’s the furnishings that give this beautiful space its heart and soul. Premium fabrics and upholstery transform the bedroom into a relaxing retreat, while a minimalist lounge is given a real centrepiece courtesy of the Extrasoft sofa designed by Piero Lissoni for Living Divani. Rustic touches continue throughout, with stripped-back wooden surfaces and rattan adding plenty of dimensions to the dining room, and re-purposed wooden panels and fabrics softening off the harsher edges of the kitchen.
